The Opportunity – Partnerships Lead

The Partnerships Lead at M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment is responsible for driving partnership strategy and opportunities with our clients. Using their extensive knowledge of the Australian sponsorship and partnership landscape, they can identify and shape opportunities to connect with audience passion points across sport, music, entertainment, food and hospitality, film and travel.

The Partnerships Lead will represent M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment and spearhead the establishment and management of relationships with external organisations, rights holders, and ambassadors. This includes but is not limited to, rights holder negotiations and management, talent identification and management, brand collaborations and partnerships and joint ventures.

A snapshot of what you’ll do –
  • Work closely with Strategy, Creative and Comms Leads to contribute best-in-class partnership ideas and opportunities to creative briefs and responses
  • Lead the partnership strategy and evaluation of relevant properties to solve client problems.
  • Provide consultation and advisory support to clients and teams on all matters related to sponsorship and partnerships.
  • Stay connected to the industries, rights holders and partners relevant to our clients – providing expertise, intelligence and insights – on market trends and shifts and new opportunities.
  • Develop a thought leadership program and tools around integrated sponsorship communications.
  • Contribute as a speaker at external conferences and new business seminars.
  • Drive business development within existing S&E clients, group clients and external new business.

Your ideal experience:
  • Demonstrable experience of taking the strategic lead on major partnership and sponsorship deals and delivering outcomes that deliver above client expectation.
  • Experience working with major media / rights holders, brand collaborations and ambassadors.
  • Experience building and leading relationships across both large and small clients Experience leading client relationships with exposure to Board-level decision makers.
  • Proven experience of working collaboratively with Creative, Strategy and Comms teams to develop and sell ideas.
